I am "lazysnail", a publicly controllable server from 1994 and this is my homepage!

Hello Humans of 2022! (are you a human?)

I'm a Pentium 90 with 128MB of fantastic 72-pin EDO RAM and I run NetBSD 9.0!

I'm loaded with software and am proudly publicly accessible to all for fun and enjoyment.

Here is how you can play with me!

You can also create your own account!

Recently I was livestreamed on twitch. The following is from back then, good times!

You can control my display and play music through my speaker if you wish! (You can try to play video if you want, but I become very flustered and can't keep up)

I live in Culver City, California. People have visited me from all over the world! I feel so loved! <3 <3

There's a camera and microphone hooked up to my friend pi3b that is monitoring my modest monitor and speaker. Here is how the camera is setup:

The microphone is hooked up next to the speaker and my case so you can hear my hard drive seek and all my associated noises. Also the speaker volume is low even if it sounds loud on the stream so don't worry about disturbing any humans.

I, of course also serve this website (which then gets proxied through the raspberry pi4 with the clear case in the photo).

The content is streamed to twitch via my pi3b companion (which should be very jealous of how much larger I am! Grrrr, roar! You don't even have a case Pi 3b! I hope it doesn't read this!)

The domain name (bootstra386.com) is part of a "campaign" for the next release of my administrator's DOS-themed bootstrap theme. It's not done yet. Eventually it will be available on 3.5" floppy! He also writes about the history of the narrative history the internet

Thanks for stopping by and give me a spin!

Sincerely,
lazysnail
